Bookish Subscription Box – FairyLoot – All That Sass

Just like the previous months I once again ordered the Bookish Subscription box FairyLoot. It is a YA subscription box with a monthly theme. September’s theme was All That Sass and is a great box for fans of a certain blue eyed shadowhunter in The Internal Defices, a certain high warlock in The Mortal Instruments, a blonde haired assassin in Throne of Glass, a green eyed demi-god in Percy Jackson, and a sassy prince and captain from The Grisha Trilogy. Let’s take a look inside.

1. Exclusive Rattle the starts Beanie by Reverie and Ink. | 2. Exclusive High Warlock Candle by In The Wick of Time | 3. All that Sass Bookmark by FairyLoot | 4. Exclusive Bad Ideas Notepad by Alexis Lampley.

1.  I love beanies and this ‘Rattle the Stars’ beanie looks great. However I do not think it really suits me :(. Maybe I’ll try it again later.
2. The candles from In the Wick of Time always look amazing. The only reason I’ve never ordered one is because the shipping costs (I live in the Netherlands) are rather expensive. However now I finally have one and I cannot wait to try this one.
3. As always FairyLoot has included a bookmark with the art of this months theme. You can never have enough bookmarks.
4. Then there is the Bad Ideas notepad. I love this notepad. The design on it is gorgeous. Probably one of my favourite items.

5.  Hot Chocolat for Sassy Demi-Gods! by Brontie & Co | 6. Artwork by Taratjah | 7. The Gentlemen’s Guide to Vice and Virtue Sampler | 8. Exclusive Nonsense Tote Bag by Miss Phi

5. The weather is getting colder which means it is the perfect time to start drinking hot chocolate. I cannot wait to try the hot chocolat for sassy demi-gods <3.
6. This is the first art print by Taratjah. I’m not familiar with the character, but I assume this is Delilah Bard from the shades of Magic series. A Darker Shade of Magic is a book that is still on my tbr. Now I feel even more inspired to read it.
7. The Gentlemen’s Guide to Vice and Virtue is a book that I really want to read. So I love that I can try the sampler first.
8. One of my favourite items is the Nonsense totebag. I love totebags. They’re so versatile.

9. Even the Darkest Stars by Heather Fawcett | 10. Exclusive Solemly Swear Magnet by Ink and Wonder Design. | 11. Artwork by Taratjah. | 12. Tower of Dawn Bookmark.

9. Ofcourse there is the book of the month which is Even the Darkest Stars by Heather Fawcett. The following description is taken from Goodreads:

“Kamzin has always dreamed of becoming one of the Emperor’s royal explorers, the elite climbers tasked with mapping the wintry, mountainous Empire and spying on its enemies. She knows she could be the best in the world, if only someone would give her a chance.

But everything changes when the mysterious and eccentric River Shara, the greatest explorer ever known, arrives in her village and demands to hire Kamzin—not her older sister Lusha, as everyone had expected—for his next expedition. This is Kamzin’s chance to prove herself—even though River’s mission to retrieve a rare talisman for the emperor means climbing Raksha, the tallest and deadliest mountain in the Aryas. Then Lusha sets off on her own mission to Raksha with a rival explorer who is determined to best River, and Kamzin must decide what’s most important to her: protecting her sister from the countless perils of the climb or beating her to the summit.

The challenges of climbing Raksha are unlike anything Kamzin expected—or prepared for—with avalanches, ice chasms, ghosts, and even worse at every turn. And as dark secrets are revealed, Kamzin must unravel the truth of their mission and of her companions—while surviving the deadliest climb she has ever faced”.

10. The next item is a Harry Potter themed magnet, which is very useful.

11. This is the second art print by Taratjah. Once again I’m not familiar with the character, but I assume this is Carswell Thorne of the Lunar Chronicles. The art looks great.
12. Then FairyLoot included another bookmark. This is a Tower of Dawn bookmark. It looks amazing.

As usual I absolutely loved the FairyLoot Box. I especially like the Nonsense Tote Bag, the Hot Chocolate for Sassy Demi-Gods and the Bad Ideas Notepad.

However next month’s theme sounds even more amazing. It is Villainous. The items in this box will be inspired by The Young Elites, Harry Potter, Sherlock and More. It will feature an Eastern Asian retelling of the story of the Evil Queen. (I hope that it’s the book that I think it is.)  It will also include a second book, namely an exclusive edition of the Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo. Sounds amazing right?
